Finally broke one of the stock knuckles back in August at Field and Forest. The steering arm ripped right off in the Taint!
After a lot of work with a High Lift, we got it back on the trail. We had to drive out backwards though Pete’s Pass. Took about 4 hours to get back to camp.
Spent the night grinding, preheating, welding, and post heating the arm back to the knuckle.
Then Sunday we wheeled all day
Then to prepare for Topless For Tatas which was the following weekend, we had install the spare knuckles which where modified with high steer arms to allow for double shear mounts.
